.ART Early Adopters Include Barbara Rachko, Former Navy Commander and Recognized Artist

Sometimes we discover the most incredible stories about .ART members and we just can’t help sharing them with you. Barbara Rachko learned to fly a plane at 25, worked as a domestic airline pilot, then served as a Navy commander – and retired to become a full-time painter.

She lost her husband to the 9/11 terrorist attack on the Pentagon, but moved through her loss and got back to art. She has managed to produce four different artistic series, created a successful blog with more than 29,000 subscribers, and wrote an autobiographical book called “From Pilot to Painter.”

Barbara’s vibrant folk-inspired pastel paintings take you to the world of spirits, shaman rituals, and bizarre manifestations of the deep subconscious.  Make sure to check out http://barbararachko.art to enjoy her truly unique vision.
