This is the seventh installment in .ART’s “Web3 Women’s Revolution” series, honoring Women’s History Month and exploring woman-identifying artists in the Web3 space. The Superama (TheSuperama.art) is an NFT artist whose work is informed by her days at Nickelodeon and seeks to empower her audience. This interview was edited for length and clarity.
Describe yourself in 3 words. Go:
Vibrant, Optimistic & Energetic
Let’s start with the basics: how did you get into art?
My love for colors started the day my mom gave me my first coloring book in kindergarten. In my 20s, I dove into design, illustration, and animation. In my 30s, I became a muralist. And in my 40s, I embraced digital art and stepped into the Web3 space.

You once served as an Art Director for Nickelodeon. Tell us about that; what skills translate well between entertainment and digital art?
Working as an Art Director for Nickelodeon was an incredible experience! It taught me how to tell stories visually, create engaging worlds, and connect with audiences and other artists through vibrant and playful design. In entertainment, every detail matters, from color choices to composition, because it all helps shape emotions and narratives.

Whether I’m creating murals, Web3 pieces, or interactive experiences, I still focus on storytelling, composition, and visual impact. It’s also crucial to me to create art that can positively impact lives, inspire other women, and connect with them in meaningful ways.
You’re an ambassador for Women of Web3. Tell us about the project and why it speaks to you.
The project aims to empower and uplift women in the Web3 space, providing a platform for them to connect, learn, and thrive in a male-dominated industry. It speaks to me because I know firsthand how important it is for women to have a supportive community, especially in a rapidly evolving field like Web3.

Thanks to Women of Web3 I had the honor of speaking alongside women who are pushing boundaries in technology and blockchain, at the UNGA78 Science Summit. If you told me a few years ago that I would be speaking at the UN Summit I would have laughed. It was such a powerful reminder of how women are truly trailblazers in this space. Women of Web3 embodies that spirit of innovation, unity, and empowerment.
How did you get into Web3?
I got into Web3 because I joined a community in Miami called Web3 Equity. I was first hired as an artist to create their first digital collection. I had no idea what Web3 was, but after working with the founder side by side, I fell in love with the community. Then I saw how far my art could go in this space, meaning I could learn about this new technology, create interactive experiences and connect directly with collectors.

That’s when I decided to become an ambassador and do monthly meetups to meet other like-minded women and learn together about this new technology, and create new and meaningful relations.
Your art is imaginative and whimsical. How did you find your style and color palette? Who are the subjects in your art?
My artistic style is a vibrant fusion of the countless inspirations I absorbed during my time at Nickelodeon. It wasn’t so much that my style ‘found me’ but rather that I actively cultivated it, from these rich experiences to create something uniquely my own. When it comes to color; I felt the pull to confine myself to a small palette, but I quickly realized that I had to use the entire spectrum. Now, I celebrate the freedom to paint with every hue, using color as a powerful tool to evoke feeling and manifest my whimsical visions.
Superama’s Dubai Exhibition
The heart of my art lies in capturing the beauty and wonder I observe in the world, particularly within the strength and spirit of women. As Superama, my driving force is to inspire women to embrace their authentic selves. I want to ignite a sense of bravery, freedom, joy, and vibrancy within them, encouraging them to step into their full potential.

Which artist in history would you have wished to see on blockchain?
Frida Kahlo and Leonora Carrington are two artists whose work and spirit I deeply admire. Frida’s raw emotional honesty and her exploration of identity through her art would have resonated powerfully with the nature of blockchain. Imagine her self-portraits existing as digital collectibles, each one a unique digital expression, and carrying her powerful story. Leonora Carrington, with her surreal imagery and fantastical creatures could have been transformed into interactive experiences, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital art.

Yayoi Kusama, one of my other favorite artists, lived to see her work enter the blockchain. Her immersive and experiential art, already so ahead of its time, translates beautifully into the digital world. It’s a reminder that art, regardless of its medium, can transcend time and connect with audiences in new and innovative ways.
Any advice for people looking to get into Web3? Any words for those who are hesitant?
Give it a chance! My journey as an artist has been completely transformed since entering this space. I’ve had the extraordinary opportunity to showcase my art in places I never dreamed possible: Times Square, an immersive museum experience in Mexico, and even the first digital museum on the moon. I’ve also had the privilege to speak about my work at prestigious venues like the United Nations.

Beyond the incredible exposure, Web3 has allowed me to forge meaningful connections with my collectors, something I’d never experienced before. I’ve also found an amazing community of women who support me, help me grow, and inspire me daily. This network has been invaluable to my journey. I’ve also met a wider community of incredibly talented individuals who have become friends.

If you’re hesitant, remember that innovation often lies outside our comfort zones. The possibilities are truly limitless.

What’s one benefit of having a .ART domain?
One key benefit of having a .ART domain is that it allows me to clearly align my online presence with my identity as an artist. It’s a unique and memorable way to showcase my work while connecting with a community that truly values creativity. I also love how .ART is so supportive of artists in both Web2 and Web3.
It’s crucial to bridge the gap between these two worlds because supporting artists across both spaces not only empowers us but also inspires others to explore and learn about the amazing possibilities Web3 offers. This type of support encourages growth, collaboration, and innovation within the artistic community.
