How to link your .ART domain to your website

Creating a new website can take a lot of time. If you already have a site in some domain zone (like .com, .co.uk, etc.) you still can use .ART domains for marketing and branding purposes by setting up a redirect from your .ART domain to your website in another domain zone. This will not spoil your SEO. You can redirect .ART domain to your existing website, a section of it, or even your social media profile address.

The only thing left to do now is link your website to your .ART domain. If you still don’t have a .ART domain, you can come up with a short and memorable name and register a domain name on get.art. We have over 4 million premium domains for all areas of creativity and more. Unlike other domain zones (like .com), we have many free names that have become unavailable there for a long time.

So, what we need to do to make everything work:

Step 1.
Go to your account at .ART website.
Step 2.
Go to your domain settings (click on the gear and select ‘Domain Forwarding’ highlighted in the screenshot).

Step 3.
Put the address of your current website (or the address of its section to which you want to direct visitors from your .ART domain) into the destination field and click ‘Save’. The easiest way to copy the address is to take it from the address bar of the browser. So you can’t go wrong.

Step 4.
Save your changes and wait up to 48 hours for your domain redirect details to be saved.

Possible problems:

If you have your website builder activated, then you need to deactivate it, otherwise your redirect will not work correctly.
