Artup Nation (artup.art) is moving beyond the confines of artistic distribution and traditional art market, establishing a new school of thought where artists take their artistic concepts to disrupt both the art and the tech industries.
Their work can be seen as a response to the post-covid19 artworld crisis, but it is actually a response to processes taking place for several years already. That renders independent artistic production more and more difficult.
The ArtUp nation 6 weeks program – titled “the artup escalator” relies on the standardized model of the startup accelerator. It aims to provide artists and non-artists with tools to transform their artistic concepts into high growth market products, while at the same critically analysing the process of becoming one.
Sounds confusing? We’ve talked to the founders at the latest edition of CADAF Online.
Join the founders on July 9th (18:00 CEST) for the launch event of ArtUp Escalator. Discussion will be centred around what it means to be an ArtUp, Escalator’s curriculum, and the open call for the program.
