It’s been a week of great generic domain sales! gecko.art, potato.art, leaf.art and BRAVERY.ART have all found their owners. Let’s see what brave creative projects they come to host!
The .ART artistic community is thrilled to welcome Pedro Sandoval at PEDROSANDOVAL.ART! A Venezuelan artist based in Madrid, Sandoval’s artworks have been globally exhibited and sold at up to $200K at international auctions.
CHOWTAIFOOK.ART might not seem like a remarkable domain at first – but only for those who’ve never set foot in Hong Kong. Founded in 1929, Chow Tai Fook group is a Hong Kong–based, privately-owned conglomerate with holdings in the jewellery, property development, hotel, department store, transportation, energy, telecommunications, port, casino, and other businesses. Chow Tai Fook Capital is owned by the descendants of the late Chow Tai Fook Jewellery founder – so perhaps the .ART domain has something to do with the creative part of the company expanding.
Also this week saw the sale of OMEGA.ART which, we do hope, has something to do with the renowned Swiss watches brand launching its own art initiative, perhaps? Time will tell!
