Behind the Scene of Art and Finance with Adriano Picinati di Torcello, Jury Member for the Digital Innovation Art Award.

There’s only a week left to submit your candidacy to the 2021 edition of the Digital Innovation Art Award. If you haven’t entered yet, do it today!

Adriano started his professional journey by owning a degree in business sciences and finance, as well as an MBA and an M.Sc. in banking and finance. His first career step was as an auditor at KPMG, and since then, he has worked with a diversity of financial institutions, deeply involved in creating awareness of the “art and finance” field. Today, he is one of Deloitte’s art and finance directors and co-authors of the Art & Finance Report, which Deloitte and ArtTactic jointly publish. It is his expertise and dedication to this field that made Adriano a jury member of choice for .ART’s award. His insightful knowledge of trends and the current situation contributes to finding the right project for this prestigious award.

While for a long time, art and investment resonated with acquiring blue-chip art and leaving it in a free port, digital innovation has become a game-changer in opening new possibilities for art and finance. On this note, Adriano adds:

“Technology has developed very rapidly in many different fields. We’re talking about augmented reality, artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, ultra-high-resolution screens, 3D, and virtualisation—this all applies in the art world. It has many implications, such as creating new types of artworks, global reach, and transparency and trust. You can offer a new kind of experience, online and offline.”

Believing that ‘Culture Is increasingly perceived as an economic force’, he is the investigator of the international Deloitte Art & Finance Conference, which, since 2008, has become a benchmark event presenting key current trends in the world of art and finance. Picinati di Torcello doesn’t hesitate to share his knowledge and continuously runs Art & Finance seminars for professional seeking hands-on guidance in the global art market. He is also the spokesman for the Art & Finance initiative within Deloitte, leading him to be a guest and presenting both at national and international conferences.
