Yesterday, Observer released its third iteration of the Arts Power 50. .art Domains founder, Ulvi Kasimov, has been named amongst 49 of his peers to receive this great honour. In these testing times, this nomination means more than in any other. Kasimov is included amongst activists, artists, auction professionals, curators, dealers, gallery owners, museums and not-for-profit leaders, media, government officials and tech innovators.

As stated on the website of the Observer, “ Each year, Observer takes a moment to consider the people impacting the arts, releasing our list of leaders who are driving trends forward and creating new strategies to make the art world more viable, more accessible and more equitable.”

His nomination, which you can see here, came as a surprise. When reading the announcement, it is clear that many of the projects that .art Domains have brought to life in 2020 under Kasimov’s vision earned him this well-deserved recognition. The Observer mentioned the new authenticity tool developed, the .art Digital Twin, which recently received its patent and the contribution the .art Domains did for CADAF and the first edition of the online arm of Ars Electronica Festival.

It is a true honour for me to be listed among such remarkable personalities of the modern-day. It is also a recognition of great team effort that has been taking place at .art Domains in the last three years since the launch and long before it. I want to thank my wife and co-founder Reikhan Kasimova, member of our Strategic Planning Board Kurt Pritz, COO Kate Kozlova and all who have been part of this venture, including our former CEO John Matson. We will now continue on our mission of empowering the world of art through technology with renewed commitment.
